Does the Building Come with Drawings?
Will the building supplier provide a complete set of stamped- engineered drawings and an anchor bolt layout plan? Many cities and counties also require a stamped foundation plan by a local engineer, which the contractor can provide upon request at a nominal fee.
Look at the details of the building agreement. This may seem like an obvious step. However, make sure to go over the details in purchase agreements before signing a steel purchase. In many cases certain specifications should be discussed during planning and will need to be included in your order.
Code compliance. Municipalities have standards that need to be reviewed before finalizing your steel building purchase, and these type of factors need to be reviewed while drawing up the contract – not when starting construction on the actual building.
